About The Job

As a member of the Deli Line team of Luke’s Local, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks, breakfast items, and sandwiches to our customers. We encourage a team mentality at Luke’s, and as such all deli staff often assist each other based on the demands of the day. Having a positive attitude, team mentality, and eagerness to learn is a must. Barista Experience is highly preferred. Sightglass training will also be provided.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and closing down the coffee kiosk window for the day's service
• Ensure the customer’s checkout experience is friendly and efficient
• Setting and maintaining the coffee & deli area
• Serving coffee and espresso drinks
• Preparing and serving breakfast items and deli sandwiches
• Monitor product and check for expiration. Ensure products are routinely FIFO-ed and waste is accurately tracked and reported
• Providing an excellent and knowledgeable customer experience
• Demonstrate consistent work attendance
• Knowledge and implementation of safe food handling procedures
• Assist in unloading and stocking merchandise for the Deli/Butcher team
• Maintaining a positive, equitable work environment for all staff
• Communicate and collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and/or outside contacts in a timely and appropriate manner and in line with our Communication Code of Conduct

$20.50-23.50/hour + tips
