About the role
As a Luna’s Server, you’re cross-trained in all front-of-house roles and committed to delivering standout hospitality. Show up on time, follow training, stay professional, communicate clearly, and work as a unified team.
Guest Experience
- Greet every guest with warm, energetic hospitality.
- Know the menu inside and out—food, drinks, specials, and ingredients.
- Take accurate orders and deliver them quickly and correctly.
- Anticipate needs, handle concerns gracefully, and maintain a clean, organized dining area.
- Build relationships with regulars and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support off-site events and catering(s) when needed.
- Follow Luna’s steps of service and use all technology consistently.
Tequila & Mezcal Knowledge
- Understand key spirits, including production, flavor profiles, aging, and pairings.
- Confidently describe at least 3 tequilas, 3 mezcals, and 1 additional Mexican spirit.
- Offer informed recommendations on flights and cocktails while maintaining alcohol compliance.
Accuracy & Efficiency
- Use the POS quickly and correctly.
- Ensure orders, payments, cash handling, and delivery are accurate and efficient.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams for smooth service.
- Communicate clearly, help with side work, and participate in trainings and pre-shift meetings.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service laws.
- Keep the environment safe and uphold all company policies.
- Support any additional duties that contribute to the team’s success.

What you'll do
A server at Luna’s plays a key role in creating an energetic, welcoming, and memorable dining experience.
- Welcome every guest warmly with an upbeat, professional attitude.
- Guide guests through the menu, explaining dishes, ingredients, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure all modifications are clearly communicated.
- Deliver food and beverages quickly and correctly, following Luna’s service standards.
- Anticipate guest needs—refills, extra plates, dietary questions, etc.
- Maintain a clean, organized dining area throughout the shift.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure guests leave happy.
- Build rapport with regulars and contribute to a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
- Support community events and off-site caterings when scheduled.
- Use Luna’s technology (POS, handhelds, etc.) accurately and consistently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Appropriate availability under the needs of the company
- Appropriate transportation plan to attend shifts as scheduled according to the provided availability
- Able to perform all essential job functions as detailed in the job description and training materials.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- ServSafe and Alcohol Service training as required by law.
- Knowledge of Spanish is always an advantage to our team.
Physical Requirements for Server/Bartender
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6–10 hours per shift).
- Lift, carry, and move items up to 25–50 lbs (such as trays, cases, bar supplies, and equipment).
- Bend, reach, kneel, and stoop frequently during service tasks.
- Use hands and arms for constant grasping, carrying, pouring, and fine motor tasks.
- Balance and maneuver trays of food and beverages safely.
- Move quickly and safely in tight, fast-paced environments.
- Use visual and auditory abilities to take orders, identify tickets, and communicate with guests and staff.
- Operate POS systems and bar equipment with accuracy and coordination.
- Tolerate varying environments, including warm kitchens, cold storage areas, and outdoor events.
- Maintain stamina for repetitive motions and high-volume shifts.
