Work Arrangement

While the role is currently unpaid, requiring a few hours a week remotely until our global launch in the upcoming year, the successful candidate will receive vested equity and benefits.  Luupli started internal testing since June 2024 and getting ready for a commercial BETA testing from December 2024, with the hope of launching fully summer of 2025, this role will transition into a paid full-time position.



Role Overview

Luupli, an innovative social media app currently in development, seeks an experienced Head of Support, Trust, and Safety to play a pivotal role in establishing the foundations for our Support team and Trust and Safety Department. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in shaping and implementing robust content moderation practices, emphasizing our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive online community.


As the Head of Support, Trust & Safety, you will:


  • Build an industry-leading Support, Trust & Safety organization.
  • Establish the support team and trust and safety teams from scratch, including writing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and training new hires.
  • Utilize artificial intelligence to enhance both support and moderation efforts.
  • Address and resolve escalated issues promptly, focusing on user experience and satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to the co-founders on Trust & Safety performance, trends, and initiatives.
  • Assess potential risks, vulnerabilities, and trends, devising strategies to mitigate them.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, regulations, and emerging technologies to enhance our Trust & Safety approach.
  • Report directly to the co-founder and CEO.


Who We’re Looking For


  • This is a hands-on role, requiring the creation of guidelines, JDs, training manuals, etc., without support. Previous experience and knowledge of systems and templates are crucial.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Desire to learn and scale as the company grows.
  • Passion for keeping our community safe.
  • Past role in product management or executive leadership.


Expected Journey for the next 90 Days

During the interview, you will be asked to share completion timelines and priorities for the first 12 weeks based on the following key priorities for Luupli:


  • Terms & Conditions, Content Policy Review:

Evaluate and provide recommendations for refining our existing Terms of Use and content policy.

Collaborate with the Chief Legal Officer and the entire Luupli team to align the content policy with industry best practices.


2.Nudity Policy Development:

Craft a nuanced nudity policy, considering recent industry changes and addressing complex issues surrounding gender, sexuality, and freedom on social media.

Content Moderation Guidebook:


3.Develop a comprehensive guidebook (standard operating procedures) for the Trust and Safety team.

Leverage past experience to ensure a thorough and effective guidebook.


4.Content Moderation Software:

Lead the research, sourcing, and recommendation of appropriate content moderation software for Luupli.


5.User Support Manual:

Develop a comprehensive user support manual, serving as the main reference point for our support team.


6.User Support Software:

Lead the research, sourcing, and recommendation of appropriate user support software for Luupli.

Trust and Safety Department Setup, Recruitment & Training:


7.Create a comprehensive setup guide for the Trust and Safety Department.

Define roles, responsibilities, reporting structures, and how the department integrates into the overall organizational structure.


8.User Support Department Setup, Recruitment & Training:

Assist in the recruitment process, including conducting interviews for user support team members.

Provide initial training to the team, outlining responsibilities and daily tasks.
