POSITION SUMMARY: As the Assistant General Manager at Parks & Rec, you will partner with managers across the space to oversee daily operations of this brand-new MadTree facility, while directly managing front-of-house operations and supporting back-of-house operations. You'll be driving the teams’ excellence in guest experience, helping to develop the Parks & Rec leadership team, and leading the charge when it comes to operational performance. We're looking for an Assistant General Manager to help launch Parks & Rec – an innovative 15,000 sq. ft. venue that's about to become Blue Ash's most exciting destination. Housed in a historic airplane hangar and integrated with Summit Park's green space, this unique project needs a dynamic leader who can orchestrate exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence. POSITION: Assistant General Manager – Parks & Rec

LOCATION: Blue Ash, OH

REPORTS TO: General Manager - Parks & Rec

COMPENSATION RANGE: $53,200 – $62,590 – $71,980

VARIABLE COMPENSATION: Up to $10,000/year for achieving specific performance metrics


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the General Manager to achieve guest count, PPA, revenue, and other financial targets & goals.
  • Support the General Manager in P&L management and budget planning, including labor scheduling and optimization across all teams.
  • Lead the front-of-house management team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure effective communication between teams.
  • Oversee beverage program execution, including beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings.
  • Drive guest satisfaction through active floor management, programming and service standard implementation.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback, implementing service improvements as a result.
  • Partner with Parks & Rec leadership to provide outstanding guest experiences, through delivery of our PODs (Points of Differentiation): We are Warm & Welcoming; We Craft to Exceed Expectations; Together, We Plant a Better Community
  • Assist to maintain facility standards and coordinate with Summit Park management.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and comprehensive training programs throughout the business, including opening & closing operations etc.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback in a timely and efficient manner and implement improvements as a result.
  • Partner with People Strategy to execute recruitment strategy, performance reviews and follow up on annual engagement and pulse surveys.
  • Spend at least 16 hours a year volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives with excitement, encouraging your teammates to do the same.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.

  • 3+ years of hospitality management experience in a high-volume restaurant/bar setting.
  • Experience managing teams of 30+ people and sales volumes of $2M+.
  • Strong understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Available to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Management work week averages 45-50 hours per week and more deemed necessary at various times.
