Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping our brokerage business grow by delivering high-quality analytics and reporting. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights that drive optimization strategies for home acquisitions and dispositions. Your work will directly impact the decisions our partners make in the housing market, ensuring they stay ahead of trends and capitalize on opportunities. 

You are expected to:

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights that support the growth of our brokerage business.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor key performance metrics for both home acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop analytical models that help forecast and optimize housing market strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and key partners in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Support the integration and usage of advanced analytics tools to improve business outcomes.


Skills Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working with large datasets in a real estate, financial, or related industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.


Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in Analytic Engineering: transforming raw data into accessible, actionable insights for business decision-makers, preferably using DBT.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and working in agile teams is a plus.


Compensation and Benefits

Mainstay’s compensation varies by U.S. geographic market to align with local labor costs. For most locations, the annual pay range for this position is $134,400–$189,000, while the base salary range for roles based in the SF Bay Area, Seattle, and New York City Metro area is $168,000–$210,000. Pay is based on location, skills, and experience, and your recruiter will confirm the specific range for your job location. Please note that remote roles are available in all U.S. states except Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, and U.S. Territories.
