About the role

The Food Assembly Production Manager will oversee day-to-day operations within Manly Man Co.’s food assembly production area during peak seasonal periods. This role leads a fast-paced team responsible for assembling, packaging, and preparing our signature edible gift products. The manager will partner closely with operations, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.


This is a temporary seasonal position expected to run through February 12, supporting our busiest seasons — Christmas and Valentine’s Day. During this time, we’ll use your performance and fit with the team to evaluate potential opportunities for a full-time, year-round role with company benefits. Overtime opportunities will be offered during peak production periods for high performing staff.


Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM


What you'll do

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage daily operations of the food assembly production floor.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate seasonal production staff to achieve output and quality goals.
  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing coverage throughout peak periods.
  • Maintain efficient workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including HACCP, and sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks to uphold product consistency and brand standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies; communicate needs proactively.
  • Maintain documentation for lot tracking, labeling, and food handling procedures.
  • Enforce and model best practices in workplace safety (OSHA compliance).
  • Collaborate with leadership on production planning and execution during high-volume seasons


Qualifications

Required
    • 2+ years of experience as a manager in food production, assembly, manufacturing, or similar environment.
    • Proven experience supervising or managing production staff.
    • Strong understanding of food safety protocols and compliance (HACCP, USDA, or equivalent).
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
    • Food Safety Manager Certification.

Preferred

    • Experience managing seasonal or temporary workforce.
    • Background in specialty food production or edible gift manufacturing.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
    • HACCP Certification.
    • Experience working in a USDA inspected facility.

The pay range for this role is:

28 - 30 USD per hour (MMC HQ)
