About the role

  • We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to identify and implement the most effective solutions for their needs, ensuring successful deployments that can be scaled and replicated for future use. Your insights and technical expertise will directly inform our internal and external documentation, marketing materials, and use case development.
  • You will play a key role in bridging technical solutions with business outcomes, participating in deployment discussions, presales demos, and technical marketing activities such as conferences and industry events. This is a highly collaborative position, ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on technical problem-solving and customer-facing interactions.

What you'll do

  • Customer Solutions & Deployment Support:
    • Collaborate with customers during deployment discussions to identify requirements and define solutions for successful project outcomes.
    • Analyze existing deployments to extract best practices and repeatable solutions for future implementations.
    • Develop technical use cases and reference architectures based on successful deployments.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
    • Contribute to internal and external documentation to support repeatable deployment models.
    • Improve and expand technical guides, playbooks, and solution templates based on real-world experiences.
    • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure solutions are well-documented and easily adoptable.
  • Presales & Technical Marketing:
    • Conduct presales technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept (PoC) sessions for prospective customers.
    • Act as a technical subject matter expert during customer calls, webinars, and product presentations.
    • Represent Mapped at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, showcasing our technology and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IoT, APIs, data integrations, and cloud platforms. Experience with solution architectures and deployment best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with experience working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of diagnosing technical challenges and developing effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot between technical deep-dives and customer-facing interactions.
