About the role
We are seeking a Director of Marketing to be our first dedicated marketing hire. This role is a unique opportunity to build and lead Mapped’s marketing function from the ground up. Reporting to the SVP of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing activities that aligns with our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, with the immediate driver focused on developing our core ICP, followed by building awareness of our product and generating demand.
*A successful background in B2B Enterprise SaaS is required to be considered for this role.
*Initially, you will be responsible for executing at both a strategic and individual contributor level.
What you'll do
- Partner with the SVP of Sales & Marketing to define and execute a comprehensive Enterprise B2B SaaS GTM strategy.
- Develop and manage multi-channel demand generation campaigns, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Drive content marketing initiatives, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and sales collateral.
- Collaborate with the VP of Operations & Strategy and SVP of Sales & Marketing to define core KPIs, measure campaign performance and iterate for continuous improvement.
- Leverage external resources and agencies to support key marketing functions as needed.
- Establish and refine marketing processes to support scalability and efficiency as Mapped grows.
- Establish initial and future marketing software requirements
- Lead the budgeting, development, and activation of a multi-channel strategy
- Manage the company's website and social media accounts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and executing GTM strategies in B2B Enterprise SaaS.
- Proven expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, content marketing, and campaign management.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure, analyze, and optimize marketing performance.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM/marketing automation to manage campaigns and track engagement.
- Proficiency in content creation and distribution tools, including Microsoft Suite, Canva, AI tools, creative automation, distribution automation, workflow automation, etc.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering and operations teams.
- Broad experience with top of funnel – you’re comfortable with a variety of digital mediums with an emphasis on ABM, social, PR, and email campaigns.
