What You'll Do:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Paid Search Account Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal client-facing role, you will serve as a subject matter expert across creative and ads, leading project management on marketing initiatives designed to drive awareness, leads, and sales. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, optimization, and reporting of sophisticated paid search campaigns across various platforms, primarily Google Ads. You will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, building strong relationships, understanding their business objectives, and translating them into high-performing paid search strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of the ever-evolving paid search landscape, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for driving measurable ROI across multi-channel, full-funnel campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the lead point of contact for a portfolio of assigned clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships built on trust and transparency. Conduct regular client meetings to review creative, execution, and iteration, providing strategic recommendations
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive paid search strategies aligned with client goals, including keyword research, audience segmentation, ad copy creation, and landing page optimization. This includes facilitating content review and communication around creative asset needs
- Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance to achieve and exceed client KPIs such as ROAS, NCAC, and LTV. Execute and optimize paid campaigns for a variety of companies
- Emerging Campaign Types & Automation: Demonstrate expertise and practical experience with newer Google Ads campaign types such as Performance Max (PMax) and Demand Gen campaigns, leveraging their capabilities to drive client success. Ability to leverage all campaign types, from top-of-funnel video down to search, and utilize all ad type best practices and smart bidding automation
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present detailed performance reports, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to clients. Utilize data from in-platform and third-party analytics, like TripleWhale, to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Project Management & Daily Tasks: Establish priorities, provide detailed goals and expectations, and manage day-to-day tasks including campaign planning, creative collaboration, audience building, A/B testing, reporting, and budget management. Relate important decisions and actions across multi-channel initiatives
- Audience & Data Utilization: Understand how to build and apply customer personas, relevant audiences, and utilize first-party data effectively
- Budget Management: Manage client budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and maximizing return on ad spend
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across teams with internal stakeholders including SEO, Social Media, and Analytics to ensure integrated digital marketing strategies
- Stay Current: Continuously stay abreast of industry trends, platform updates, and new technologies within the paid search landscape
Your Experience Includes:
- 4-6 years of recent, hands-on experience in Paid Search management (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) within a digital agency setting
- Proven track record of successfully managing significant paid search budgets and delivering strong ROI for clients
- In-depth expertise in Google Ads, including hands-on experience with a wide range of campaign types, particularly Performance Max (PMax) and Demand Gen
- Strong understanding of Google Analytics and other relevant analytics platforms
- Proficiency in using various bid strategies, conversion tracking, and audience targeting methods
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
- Google Ads certifications (Search, Display, Shopping, etc.) and other relevant industry certifications
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in Paid Social management (Meta, LinkedIn)
- Programmatic search experience (at least through a vendor)
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles
