The Neopure Tech is responsible for processing chia through the Agri-Neo system. Making sure buckhorns and hoppers are filled with the correct amount of product and ensuring that the system is operating correctly so that log reduction can be obtained successfully. Ensuring the quality of the product before and after processing is key. Being able to make adjustments throughout the day and understanding the logic of process flow. Neopure Techs must be committed to and follow the Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all chia
- Fulfill daily processing batches to meet packaging/output
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of applicator and dryer
- Control and monitor Chia inventories
- Accurate portioning of chia into hopper
- Development of Neopure and chia knowledge in respects to quality/safety, machine operation, process flow
- Complying with all certification and food safety standards
- Clean Neopure area and after each shift
- Take and dispose of trash at end of day
- Charging forklifts and maintaining water levels
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the warehouse
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Deliver consistent quality across various temp/humidity levels
- Detect and diagnose neopure system issues
- Able to accurately forecast chia needs for production
- Forklift certification preferred, must learn on site if not
- Able to lift (up to) 50 pounds on a consistent basis; 100 pounds with a buddy
- Able to work on feet for 8 or more hours
- Able to consistently reach and lift with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Able to change tasks quickly and work under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, as well as occasional weekends
- Maintain timely and regular attendance
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
