Position Overview
The Senior Marketing & Brand Experience Consultant will serve as a strategic architect and trusted advisor, shaping the brand identity, systems, and messaging that drive MusicBreeds’ next phase of growth. This consultant will evaluate our current marketing ecosystem, strengthen brand positioning, and design a unified communications strategy that amplifies MusicBreeds’ visibility and credibility across educational, agency, and community audiences.
You will ensure the brand communicates with clarity, consistency, and measurable impact — positioning MusicBreeds, Inc. as a national leader in creative education and workforce innovation. This role requires a blend of strategic insight, storytelling expertise, and operational acumen, guiding internal teams and creative vendors toward cohesive, high-performing marketing outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
1. Brand Positioning & Messaging Architecture
- Refine and codify MusicBreeds’ brand identity, messaging pillars, and tone for B2B, B2G, and B2C audiences.
- Translate complex program models into clear, compelling value propositions for superintendents, agency leaders, and families.
- Develop a comprehensive brand messaging framework and ensure its consistent application across all channels and assets.
2. Strategic Marketing Framework
- Build a marketing roadmap that connects immediate organizational goals (awareness, partnership growth, lead generation) with long-term brand scalability.
- Conduct a marketing audit to assess digital assets, messaging, and visual identity, identifying key areas for optimization.
- Design the MusicBreeds Digital Impact Ecosystem — a cohesive set of tools and touchpoints (website, decks, campaigns, partner hub) that tell a unified story of innovation and measurable impact.
3. Digital Experience & Infrastructure Oversight
- Advise on the redesign and strategic structure of the MusicBreeds website and microsites, ensuring user-centered design, SEO optimization, and lead generation readiness.
- Oversee the development of a MusicBreeds Partner Hub — a centralized destination showcasing success stories, impact metrics, and partnership opportunities.
- Recommend and implement digital tools that enhance analytics, campaign tracking, and CRM integration.
4. Campaign Strategy & Market Activation
- Lead the conceptualization and rollout of the “Proof in Six Months” campaign, demonstrating real-world transformation across MusicBreeds programs.
- Define marketing KPIs tied to engagement, conversion, and retention, and track measurable impact across channels.
- Provide strategic direction for storytelling content, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand identity.
5. Leadership Advisory & Capability Building
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on communications and marketing strategies aligned with MusicBreeds’ overall growth plan.
- Establish marketing standards, workflows, and systems that ensure consistency and sustainability post-engagement.
- Provide guidance or light mentorship to internal team members or contractors responsible for daily marketing execution
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, branding, or communications leadership (consulting, education, nonprofit, or workforce development sectors preferred).
- Demonstrated success in brand positioning and market storytelling for mission-driven or growth-stage organizations.
- Strong record of developing integrated marketing systems and digital strategies that drive measurable growth.
- Exceptional ability to translate programmatic impact into powerful, human-centered narratives.
- Working knowledge of platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Canva, Notion, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep understanding of digital ecosystems, including SEO, analytics, CRM systems, and marketing automation.
- Experience advising executive teams and coordinating with external creative vendors or agencies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful, strategic, and comfortable operating in an evolving environment

- Comprehensive Brand & Marketing Audit with strategic recommendations for alignment and growth.
- Refined Brand Messaging Framework encompassing core narratives, voice, tone, and positioning statements.
- Blueprint for the MusicBreeds Digital Impact Ecosystem, connecting website, content, and partner communications.
- Strategic plan and creative direction for the “Proof in Six Months” campaign, including goals, timeline, and metrics.
- Implementation guide and operational playbook for internal marketing continuity

Type: Contract (Strategic Consultant, approx. 60 hours/month for 3–6 months, renewable)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (New York preferred)
Compensation: Competitive retainer or project-based rate (commensurate with experience)
