About the role

We are looking for an experienced Class A Shop Diesel Technician (Diesel Mechanic / Truck Mechanic) to join our fleet maintenance team. This is a shop-based role where you’ll perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on Class 7 & 8 trucks, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and scheduled services on Class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Conduct DOT inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Use OEM diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Allison, Bendix, etc.).
• Rebuild, replace, and repair components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and aftertreatment systems (DPF/DEF).
• Perform light welding and fabrication when needed. (not required)
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
• Keep shop tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician (Class 7 experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, electrical diagnostics, brakes, and hydraulics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and repair tools.
• Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Class A CDL preferred (not required).
