About the role

We are hiring an experienced Class A Mobile Diesel Technician (Road Tech Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Mechanic) to join our fleet maintenance team. This is a field service role, where you’ll use a company-provided service truck to perform on-site diagnostics, on site repairs, and preventative maintenance on Class 7 trucks, and diesel-powered equipment.

If you enjoy working independently, solving problems on the spot, and keeping trucks safe and on the road — this is the opportunity for you. This is a full-time position with on-call rotation (nights/weekends as needed). Roadside bonuses/incentives eligible.


What you'll do

  • Respond to road calls and emergency breakdowns to perform on-site diagnostics and repairs.
  • Service and repair diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) at customer sites or in the field.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Use diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Allison, Bendix, etc.) to troubleshoot issues.
  • Complete repair documentation and work orders accurately.
  • Safely operate and maintain a company-provided service truck, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service in the field.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician (Class 7 experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, DEF/DPF systems, air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and repair tools.
  • Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Class A CDL preferred (not required).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
