This position works independently and with other team members in the family’s home and a variety of community and/or treatment settings. This position works directly with children and adults. This position works exclusively with clients in San Bernardino County Dept. of Behavioral Health programs.


✔ Developing resources within the community to serve children and families.

✔ Outlining alternatives and predicting consequences while supporting children and families to

make good choices for themselves.

✔ Facilitating and/or co-facilitating, supporting, and modeling participation utilizing healthy group

dynamics within various settings including family homes, schools, parks and recreation centers, and treatment facilities; and providing an open forum for expression of feelings and ideas when appropriate.

✔ Utilizing strengths of children, families, and others to assist in the implementation and achievement of goals and outcomes.

✔ Recognizing client’s needs and being responsive to those needs.

✔ Understanding and taking advantage of therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations.

✔ Maintaining confidence and versatility with children having a wide range in age, personality,

attitudes and problems in a multitude of situations and environments.

✔ Monitoring effectiveness and efficiency of behavioral and crisis management interventions

✔ Building solid, cooperative relationships with children, families, and community resources to

support the planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of appropriate activities to

achieve the Individual Child and Family Plan.

✔ Modifying interventions and resources to align with the cultural reference of each child and

family.

✔ Seeking out clinical information and advice as needed.

✔ Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation within MCT, County, and Medi-Cal

standards.

✔ Completing administrative processes required for the delivery of services (e.g. releases of

information, child abuse reports, completion of county required outcome measures,

scheduling services, etc.)

✔ Maintaining 65% Productivity with regard to Medi-Cal billing requirements.

✔ Performing effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

✔ Other responsibilities, as assigned, to support program/business needs

✔ Participating in on-call “hot line” or “warm line” programs to provide 24/7 responsiveness to

client needs in accordance with current policy and assignments. During such periods as covering such programs, consuming no substance which may tend to impair ability to perform responsibilities. On call responsibilities necessitate staff member being able to physically be at MCT headquarters within 20 minutes of call.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology or equivalent.

The pay range for this role is:

22 - 26 USD per hour (MCT Main Office)
