Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Perform vital signs, assist with daily living activities, administer medications and injections, and collect lab specimens.
- Clinical Support: Aid NPs in exams, procedures, wound care, and basic nursing tasks
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient medical records and manage EMR documentation in compliance with standards .
- Patient Education: Offer guidance on medication use, self-care, preventive health, and help families understand care plans
- Clinic Operations: Keep exam rooms stocked and clean, support quality improvement initiatives, and adhere to safety and infection-control protocols
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program and active LPN license in Louisiana
- Current BLS certification as well as Phlebotomy certification ( required)
- 1–2 years of clinical experience (prior clinic or rural healthcare experience is preferred) .
- Strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and empathy for diverse patient populations .
- Comfortable using EHR systems and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
