Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead and grow a high-performing team of sales representatives within a defined geographic territory. The role of a Regional Sales Director at M&D is instrumental in shaping and executing regional sales strategy, fostering talent development, and driving new business efforts.

This successful candidate will need to be comfortable leading from the front—actively engaged in the day-to-day success of their team, removing barriers, and coaching reps to higher levels of performance. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of sales production experience, strategic mindset, and a deep passion for empowering teams through structure, process, and purpose.


Responsibilities

Sales Team Leadership & Development

·       Manage a team of institutional sales representatives across the region

·       Deliver ongoing coaching, pipeline reviews, and performance management

·       Create individualized development plans and foster a culture of growth and accountability

Territory Strategy & Execution

·       Collaborate with the SVP of Institutional Sales to build and execute strategic territory plans

·       Partner with Business Development to identify and activate new business opportunities

·       Analyze territory performance and adjust team focus accordingly to meet or exceed targets

Sales Enablement & Process Leadership

·       Champion the development of repeatable sales processes and best practices

·       Help reps plan strategically, prepare effectively, and execute with clarity

·       Leverage data and tools to forecast accurately, drive activity, and coach with intention

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Serve as a conduit between field teams and corporate partners including Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations

·       Provide insight into competitive trends, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities in the field


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales with 3+ years in a sales management or regional leadership role
  • Demonstrated success as a top producer in the institutional pharmaceutical distribution industry
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving team performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Requires up to 50% travel, strategically planned within the region to allow flexibility and efficiency


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or knowledge of 340B programs
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to territory management and team coaching
