Overview:

Oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and reporting processes

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. 


The Senior Manager, Accounting will oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and reporting processes. This would be managing approx 1+ staff/Sr Accountants and 1 AP Clerk.  Main responsibilities would include:


  • Coordinating, administering, and controlling accounting related activities including general ledger, accounts payable, and month-end closing and consolidation.
  • Assisting in accounts payable process by reviewing and approving vendor invoices for payment.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing/posting accounts payable, payroll, and other accounting journal entries.
  • Analyzing/reconciling balance sheet and key P&L accounts periodically.  Performing account analysis and preparing audit schedules.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports on variances on a monthly basis.  Preparing periodic financial reports for month-end close and for investors
  • Preparing debt covenant reporting.
  • Developing and implementing internal controls and policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with tax and regulatory filings.
  • Assisting with annual audit.


Education & Experience:

  • CPA with BA in accounting or finance degree
  • At least 7+ years of related experience with at least 2+ years in a supervisory position
  • NetSuite experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated people skills necessary to coordinate the flow of information to and from staff who possess varying degrees of financial experience
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, formulate ideas to increase efficiency of accounting operations, and implement appropriate policies and procedures/processes
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously with strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
