About the Role:

Reporting to the Director, Finance & Strategy, this role will serve as a key partner across Medallion’s Sales, Marketing, EPD, Operations, HR, and Accounting teams to help drive financial visibility, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role that will help shape Medallion’s financial story by developing executive-level reporting, building and maintaining financial models, and driving analytical insights that inform key business decisions.

The ideal candidate is a versatile, analytical, and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You are proactive, intellectually curious, and comfortable working across teams to translate data into strategy and insights that move the business forward.

Base compensation for this role may land between $120,000 -$145,000. In addition to base salary, Medallion offers equity, and benefits as part of the total compensation package. Many factors are considered when determining pay including: market data, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and level.

Responsibilities: 

Strategic Finance

  • Play a key role in quarterly forecasting and annual budget planning, including maintaining and updating Medallion’s consolidated financial model.
  • Partner with RevOps and Analytics to develop GTM KPI dashboards that deliver actionable insights and improve cross-functional decision-making.
  • Assist in quarterly board preparation, including building presentation materials and supporting financial narratives.
  • Collaborate with HR and Recruiting to track, forecast, and report on headcount planning and management, ensuring alignment with budget and hiring plans.
  • Collaborate directly with the Director, Finance & Strategy and executive leadership team on ad hoc strategic projects.
  • Support pricing analyses, ROI modeling, and new product financial assessments to guide strategic initiatives and new revenue opportunities.

FP&A

  • Lead creation of new monthly financial reporting and BvA (Budget vs. Actual) packages for the executive team, with the opportunity to present insights directly to leadership.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between FP&A and accounting close processes.
  • Drive deep-dive analyses of vendor spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and help streamline Medallion’s vendor management processes.
  • Support development of automated financial reporting tools and improve workflow efficiency across the finance function.

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking, preferably in SaaS, healthcare, or high-growth technology environments.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, executive-level insights.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and evolving business needs.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Previous professional experience in Enterprise SaaS and/or Healthcare 
  • Experience with modern FP&A tools and BI platforms (e.g., Sigma, Mosaic, Planful, Looker, or Tableau) a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL
