Position Summary

The Middle East Institute (MEI) is seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Associate (SA) who shares our commitment to advancing the mission of MEI. The prospective candidate will ensure the integrity, usability, and strategic application of MEI’s Salesforce database and related systems. The SA will also provide technical and operational oversight to ensure data accuracy, offer user support, and ensure that systems are up to date with necessary information regarding essential stakeholders.

 

As MEI expands its use of Salesforce to streamline business operations and donor engagement, the SA will play a crucial role in ensuring the platform functions efficiently while also supporting the organization’s strategic priorities. The candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, demonstrate a high level of technical acumen, and have the ability to apply innovative solutions.

 

The Salesforce Associate (SA) will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with our Chief Development Officer and the Communications and Events teams. The role will primarily manage and support the administration of MEI’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, as well as other integrated systems. Responsibilities

Key duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of MEI’s Salesforce CRM and related systems (e.g., TBI), ensuring functionality aligns with organizational needs.
  • Support ongoing training efforts by updating internal documentation and co-leading monthly onboarding sessions for new users in partnership with MEI’s Salesforce representative.
  • Provide first-line technical support for CRM users across MEI, addressing questions and resolving CRM and email-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine data audits to maintain high standards of data integrity, including clean, deduplicated, and segmented contact records.
  • Develop and generate reports and dashboards to support MEI’s development, communications, and programmatic teams.
  • Monitor system usage, user licenses, and third-party apps and add-ons; coordinate with vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Maintain and update HTML email templates and support integration with email systems.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, assign departmental CRM managers, and manage user permissions across teams.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to ensure CRM structure and workflows effectively support programmatic, communications, and fundraising goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, assist with technical projects, and document new procedures or system changes.
  • Provide support for cross-platform integrations (e.g., GiveSmart, JAMF, accounting systems), including system evaluation, vendor communication, and implementation coordination.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support MEI’s technical infrastructure and operational goals.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with CRM systems; at least 1 year of Salesforce administration.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Lightning is required.
  • Experience with additional related systems (Please include additional systems).
  • HTML proficiency is a plus.
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills alongside the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing training materials or leading user training is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
  • Responsive, self-directed, and customer focused.

 

Salary & Benefits

·         Salary range: $60,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience
