Founded in 1946, the Middle East Institute is the oldest Washington-based institution dedicated solely to the study of the Middle East. It is a non-partisan think tank providing expert policy analysis, educational and professional development services, and a hub for engaging with the region's arts and culture.
Summary:
The Programs and Events Department is the public face of MEI, organizing and managing its webinars, roundtables, panels, and annual conferences. The department works with colleagues across the Institute to ensure our events are timely, relevant, and reach the right audiences.
Internship Description:
Programs and Events interns assist in the organization, promotion, and management of MEI’s various events. Interns can expect to carry out events-related research, conduct internal and external outreach, assist with communications, and help with general administrative tasks.
