POSITION SUMMARY 

The NextGen Summer internship focuses on providing people interested in full time ministry with an opportunity to learn about ministry while building teams, planning events, and creating space for kids, students, and families to connect with one another and grow during the summer.  Interns will play a key role in helping equip and lead volunteers at Menlo Kids Summer Camp.  The intern will help with supplemental tasks integral for Central NextGen ministry over the summer and in preparation for the 2025-26 year.  As a part of their time, interns will be coached and supported by the Kids and Student directors.  

This internship program is for the summer of 2025, approximately 20-30hrs per week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Build teams of volunteers and invite them into partnering with us in ministry!
  2. Equip volunteers to lead Menlo Kids Summer Camp (this includes preparing curriculum materials, promotional items, food, etc.)
  3. Work with the NextGen team to plan and lead large events.
  4. Meet with NextGen staff to learn about ministry and discipleship.
  5. Support volunteer teams in preparing supplies for weekly Menlo Kids programming. 
  6. Partner with the NextGen directors to lead Sunday programs and upcoming events.
  7. Additional duties and special projects as assigned by Central staff. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required Education and Experience 

  • High School graduate or above
  • Interest in vocational ministry

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Team player and team builder  
  • Enjoys working with young children

The pay range for this role is:

17.10 - 22 USD per hour (Central)
