POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will collaborate with the Campus Pastor and other staff to cast vision, implement programming, and lead services that inspire the congregation to love and follow Jesus more deeply. Your primary responsibility will be to recruit, equip, develop, and lead the musicians and production team members to a high level of both spiritual maturity and professional artistic excellence, ensuring the creation of vibrant and impactful worship experiences. Alongside overseeing weekly worship gatherings, you will partner with the Creative Department and Worship Leaders from other locations to plan and execute special events, including online services and seasonal celebrations like Easter and Christmas services. Additionally, you will have a key role in supporting worship ministry initiatives, fostering spiritual growth among team members, and ensuring all worship aspects of services are executed with excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with your campus staff to plan and execute events and services to reach our neighborhood.
- Responsible for gathering high-capacity volunteers and equipping them for ministry in the church
- Recognize talents and gifts and mentor and coach through the leadership pipeline. Lead, encourage, and develop high capacity volunteers through 1:1 or large group interactions.
- Design weekly and special event services in collaboration with the Campus Pastor and the Creative Director.
- Work with the Creative Director to help build a musical direction and brand that is uniquely Menlo’s.
- Serve as one of the primary platform worship leaders for all worship services and experiences.
- Serve as Music Director for all worship services and experiences. Provide clear roadmaps, direction, and coaching to musicians and vocalists. Create and use tracks with Ableton.
- Build high-impact worship bands that play with passion, excellence, professionalism, and purpose.
- Provide leadership and direction for weekend services for two teams of volunteers, the Musicians and AVL & Tech, overseeing set up, rehearsal, and clean up.
- Manage scheduling and communication with volunteers utilizing Planning Center (PCO).
- Responsible for stage design and overall look and feel of the worship space.
- Share up-front leadership and communication responsibilities with the Campus Pastor and assist with pastoral duties as assigned.
- Support worship for Students’ program in collaboration with the Director of Student Ministries.
- Help manage your Campus Facebook page.
- Work with the Creative Director to provide needed support for campuses, which may include creating music resources, demoing original songs, and/or planning and executing online worship music.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize and delegate tasks.
- If approved for Menlo ministerial licensing, participate in training and administer baptism and communion as requested.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships by actively living out and championing our staff values.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 2-years’ experience leading worship in a variety of settings
- Demonstrated ability recruiting, training, and developing volunteer teams
- Demonstrated experience overseeing, shepherding, and leading lay leaders in ministry
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Leading discipleship and spiritual development in a church setting
- Working in a church with multiple locations
- Familiarity with Menlo Church communities
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to recruit, develop, and multiply high capacity volunteers
- Ability to lead effectively in front of small and large groups
- Must be able to lead worship from a primary instrument

The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Mountain View)
