Senior Director, Strategic Finance, Marketing Analytics, and Performance

We’re looking for a finance-led operator to own marketing economics, performance analysis, and forecasting across the full funnel. As Senior Director of Strategic Finance, Marketing Analytics, and Performance, you’ll partner closely with Growth, Marketing, and executive leadership to turn data into action while guiding spend decisions, validating incrementality, and maximizing return on marketing investment. This role blends strategic insight with hands-on analysis and directly influences how the business grows.

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 3 days/week in our Los Angeles office.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all financial planning and analysis -  including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling - for Marketing P&L performance across all channels.
  • Analyze CAC by channel, LTV curves and contribution margins, and incrementality vs vanity performance.
  • Identify where spend is working, where it’s capped, and where it can be optimized.
  • Build and maintain channel-level forecasts tied to traffic, conversion, and efficiency
  • Build and present weekly and monthly performance outlooks.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate key initiatives, measure ROI, and drive performance improvements across channels.
  • Pressure-test promotional strategies, offer changes, and budget reallocations
  • Deliver clear, decision-ready weekly readouts to multiple stakeholders covering changes and next steps.
  • Use analytics and insights to guide hands-on optimization, testing, personalization, and merchandising decisions.
  • Flag risks and opportunities before they show up in the P&L.
  • Define and track key company-wide KPIs — including customer acquisition, retention, LTV/CAC, and margin performance.
  • Partner with the Growth and Retention team and act as the analytical counterweight to marketing intuition.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure testing is completed efficiently and ensure we are able to double down on what’s actually scaling
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations that inform strategy and enhance decision-making across teams.
  • Bring rigor and structure without losing momentum.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly and accessibly.
  • Leverage a data-driven understanding of current marketing trends to create (and regularly adjust) a portfolio of marketing investments that maximizes long-term return while balancing practical considerations

What You Have

  • 8-10+ years in Strategic Finance, Analytics, Strategy, or Growth Finance
  • Experience with cohort analysis, attribution tradeoffs, unit economics, and forecasting under uncertainty
  • Strong SQL / BI fluency (able to self-serve analysis)
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Comfort challenging assumptions — respectfully and directly
  • DTC, subscription, or e-commerce experience
  • Experience partnering closely with performance marketing teams
  • Exposure to experimentation frameworks (A/B tests, lift tests, geo tests)
  • Minimum of 7 years of team management experience
  • Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • A self-starter mentality; ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while maintaining a rigorous business and financial discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
