Senior Associate/Manager Product Development

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 4 days/week in our Los Angeles office


The Manager, Product Development is a dynamic, innovation focused and results-driven leader who will direct, develop and implement the product development process and execution of on-time sample delivery. This role works closely with Merchandising, Graphic Design, Technical Design and Production to develop high quality intimates, lounge, adn kidswear. 


This position reports to the Senior Director of Product Development & Production


What You'll Do

  • Research and lead the development of new ideas, fabrics, and innovation 
  • Manage the development and pre-production approval process, along with weekly development meeting
  • Improve and implement development strategies in partnership with CFTs and Sr. Director PD & Production 
  • Enforce testing standards with all suppliers and conduct testing for all fabric and trims 
  • Own the product development calendar and ensure cross functional team and vendor adherence to deadlines and key deliverables; Proactively communicating deviations
  • Partner with the production manager for fabric and trim target costs per margin needs
  • Engage and facilitate daily communication with vendors to address all product development related issues 
  • Create and manage a raw material library in Centric
  • Partner with merchandising team to explore and research in-market trends 
  • Validate all fabric claims for new and existing fabrics 
  • Own the Bill-of-Materials (BOM) SOP with all suppliers
  • Obtain, vet, and publish all new product T&As & MOQ/MCQs for team visibility and adherence
  • Manages DHL relationship for the production team; finance tracking and usage
  • Color code entry into Net suite

What You Have

  • B.A. or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a product development capacity, preferred intimates and loungewear categories 
  • Advanced knowledge of knit & woven materials and garment construction
  • Versed in managing a robust supplier base in fabric and trims
  • Proficient in technical requirements related to testing of fabric, trims, and garments (Intertek)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emphasis on international relationships
  • Advanced Excel & G suite proficiency
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency 
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing CFT


Bonus Points

  • Underwear or intimates experience
  • Kidswear and socks experience


The base salary range for this full-time position is $84,000 -$115,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the base salary range provided in this posting does not include any bonus, equity, or benefits you may be eligible for.
