Job Description

Norway Transportation Services is seeking dependable and compassionate drivers to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for clients attending medical appointments and other health-related services. Drivers will ensure safe, timely, and professional transportation while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of all records and interactions
• Transport clients to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, including individuals with mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, canes).
• Follow assigned routes and schedules; communicate with dispatch regarding trip status or delays.
• Provide professional, respectful, and customer-focused service during each trip.
• Complete trip documentation and daily vehicle safety checks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients with mobility challenges
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Experience in customer service, transportation, healthcare, or human services preferred (not required)
• Must meet MN DOT STS driver requirements (training provided)

Hours

• Schedule: M-W-F: 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, T-Th: 5:00 AM to 11:30 AM
• Part-time to start, potential for increased hours
• Weekday and weekend routes available
• 25 hours to 30 hours a week (Potential Holiday hours)

Benefits

• $20 an hour.
• Compensation may increase based on route volume and availability.
• Opportunity to transition to W-2 employment for qualified drivers.

Available Employment Type: Contractor (1099) — Option to transition to W-2
