Job Summary:


We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Trainee/ Licensed Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. This role requires a deep commitment to addressing the mental health needs of diverse populations and contributing to the well-being of our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive psychological assessments to determine client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

2. Provide Therapy: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

    • For Trainees: Work under supervision while completing clinical hours
    • For Licensed Clinicians: Operate more independently in your role and provide direct support to clients

3. Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs.

4. Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate and timely records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards.

5. Coordinate Care: Work closely with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.

6. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health crises.

7. Ethical Practice: Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.

8. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and training to stay current with best practices in the field.

9. Scheduling and Coordinating: Manage and coordinate therapy schedules, ensuring timely appointments and follow-ups. Collaborate with administrative staff to optimize scheduling and client flow.

10. Client Coordination: Facilitate communication between clients and other team members, ensuring continuity of care and effective treatment planning.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure
    • For Trainees: Enrolled in a Master level program and working toward licensure.
    • For Licensed Clinicians: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a therapist (e.g., LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Specialization: Experience in a specific area of therapy (e.g., trauma, addiction, child and adolescent therapy) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, critical thinking, and adaptability skills. Ability to maintain effective therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Cultural Competence: Commitment to providing culturally competent care and addressing systemic inequities.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a dynamic schedule and coordinate multiple client needs.

Hours:

Flexible hours between 8 am and 7 pm, depending on patient availability.
