Job Summary
Are you a supply chain expert with deep fashion industry knowledge and a proven ability to drive commercial success? Miebach Consulting is seeking a Supply Chain Lead – Apparel Industry Expert to spearhead business development, strategic account growth, and the delivery of high-impact transformation initiatives for some of the most recognized fashion and apparel brands in North America and globally.
As part of our External Growth team, you will report directly to the Head of the Fashion, Retail, and Distribution Business Unit, collaborating with other sector leaders to expand our footprint in North America’s retail and lifestyle markets. You will serve as the face of our fashion- and apparel-focused consulting practice—shaping market positioning, identifying growth opportunities, and working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored, value-driven supply chain solutions.
This role is ideal for a professional who combines deep supply chain expertise with a strong network in the fashion industry, excels in C-suite relationship building, and thrives in a position that integrates thought leadership, account ownership, and end-to-end engagement delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead the successful delivery of supply chain transformation programs for fashion and apparel clients, covering strategy, network design, fulfillment, returns management, and digital enablement.
- Act as account lead and escalation point for strategic clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction, retention, and value delivery.
- Translate industry-specific challenges such as long lead times, SKU proliferation, global sourcing, returns complexity, and seasonal demand volatility into pragmatic, high-impact solutions.
- Collaborate with Miebach’s engineering, digital, and planning teams to deliver end-to-end solutions from concept to implementation.
Business Development & Market Growth
- Serve as a core member of the External Growth team, contributing to commercial strategy, sales enablement, and pipeline development within the fashion and apparel segment.
- Leverage an existing executive network to originate and close new business opportunities with leading fashion brands and retailers.
- Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, value proposition development, proposal creation, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Drive proactive sales and expand Miebach’s footprint across North America’s retail and lifestyle markets, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
Apparel Supply Chain Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Act as Miebach’s internal and external subject matter expert on the fashion and apparel value chain, including global sourcing, omnichannel distribution, inventory planning, and returns optimization.
- Develop sector-specific methodologies, frameworks, benchmarks, and knowledge assets to strengthen Miebach’s internal capabilities and market positioning.
- Represent Miebach at conferences, executive briefings, and industry panels, elevating our reputation as a trusted advisor in fashion logistics and supply chain innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management or consulting, with at least 5+ years focused on the fashion or apparel sector.
- Proven ability to sell and lead complex consulting engagements and driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and closing strategic deals.
- Existing executive-level relationships within fashion/retail companies and a demonstrated ability to grow accounts.
- Experience acting as account manager and engagement leader across cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of fashion supply chain operations (e.g., global sourcing, SKU complexity, omnichannel, returns management).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, executives, and internal teams.
- Ability to travel ~40–60%
