Are you a supply chain leader with deep fashion industry expertise (manager level) and the ability to drive commercial success? Miebach Consulting is looking for a Fashion and Apparel Industry Lead to spearhead business development, client acquisition, and strategic account growth as well as deliver strategic transformation initiatives for some of the most recognized brands in fashion and apparel in North America and globally.
As part of our External Growth team, you will report directly to the Head of the Fashion, Retail, and Distribution Business Unit, working alongside with other sector leaders to expand our presence in North America’s retail and lifestyle markets. You will act as the face of our fashion and apparel -focused consulting offering—shaping market positioning, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
This position is suited for professionals who bring strong client networks, can build long lasting relationships with C-suite stakeholders, and thrive in a role that combines industry thought leadership, account ownership, and engagement delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth Acceleration
- Act as a core member of the Business Development Team, actively contributing to the sales pipeline, proposal development, commercial strategy, and sales enablement materials.
- Leverage an established network in the fashion and apparel industry to identify, originate, and close new business opportunities.
- Cultivate and grow executive-level relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders across leading fashion brands and apparel retailers.
- Translate market trends and client challenges into go-to-market strategies that align with Miebach’s supply chain portfolio.
- Lead the full sales cycle, including proposal development, value articulation, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Contribute to and deliver against commercial growth targets, including cross-sell and upsell initiatives within strategic fashion and apparel accounts.
- Drive proactive sales in the industry through acquiring new accounts and growing existing accounts.
Client Engagement and Strategic Account Ownership
- Serve as account manager and escalation point for strategic fashion and apparel clients, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Sponsor and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale supply chain transformation programs, including strategy, engineering, and digital services.
- Guide client engagements across end-to-end project lifecycles, from design to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with project delivery teams to ensure high-quality delivery, issue resolution, and client value realization.
Fashion and Apparel Industry Thought Leadership & Market Positioning
- Act as Miebach’s internal and external expert on the fashion and apparel value chain, bringing insight into global sourcing, seasonal flows, lead time challenges, SKU complexity, and returns optimization.
- Develop and maintain internal knowledge assets, including benchmarks, playbooks, frameworks, and case studies specific to the fashion sector to strengthen internal capabilities.
- Represent Miebach as a thought leader at conferences, client workshops, and industry panels, helping shape our market position in fashion and apparel supply chains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management or consulting, with at least 5+ years focused on the fashion or apparel sector.
- Proven ability to sell and lead complex consulting engagements and driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and closing strategic deals.
- Existing executive-level relationships within fashion/retail companies and a demonstrated ability to grow accounts.
- Experience acting as account manager and engagement leader across cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of fashion supply chain operations (e.g., global sourcing, SKU complexity, omnichannel, returns management).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, executives, and internal teams.
- Ability to travel ~40–60%
