Role: 

The Consultant leads clients through critical strategic, organizational, and technological transformations, with a specific focus on Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation and supply chain automation. Responsibilities include deep-diving into current-state processes and IT landscapes, business requirements, and clients’ missions and visions. Consultants design optimized future-state processes and IT landscapes by analyzing data, implementing best practices, and leading internal consultant and external project teams. This role then guides clients from current state to a desired future state, fulfilling their vision and business goals, focusing on team members’ understandings, participation, interests, and behaviors. 

Responsibilities:

Project Execution:

  • Audit and assess warehouse processes and IT functionality. Identify wastes and opportunities. Apply best practices to existing operations and software or create new advanced designs and implement new systems.
  • Advise on IT landscapes and scopes that could include Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Execution Software (WES), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), slotting tools, Labor Management Systems (LMS), and Yard Management Tools (YMS).
  • Lead efforts from process design, vendor and software tendering, request for proposal (RFP), request for quotation (RFQ), selection, to implementation and support.
  • Develop functional IT specifications and designs based on clients’ business requirements and software capabilities. Note: Miebach does not offer software development, modification, configuration, or installation services.
  • Apply a customized, structured change management methodology that identifies and overcomes risks, enabling change to be more easily accepted, embraced, and implemented.
  • Create and execute clients’ organization-wide project communication plans.
  • Deploy training programs. Lead train-the-trainer workshops and end-user training preparation sessions.
  • Conduct stakeholder conversations throughout the client’s organizational hierarchy.
  • Lead highly visible, client- and leadership-facing meetings and presentations.

Project Management:

  • Lead a team of fellow consultants, client teams, software vendors, and partners.
  • Document project objectives, deliverables, risks, and escalation plans.
  • Coordinate tasks for small to large teams to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
  • Mentor and coach project team to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage project phases and milestones.
  • Prioritize trade-offs and problem-solve to execute changes within constraints.
  • Follow project contract agreements and manage budgets.

Business Development & Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and foster client relationships through successful project execution and client-unique communication.
  • Apply your expertise, knowledge, and experience in responses to requests for proposal (RFPs) to highlight Miebach’s services and opportunities to meet or exceed client’s needs and expectations.
  • Further develop Miebach colleagues and services.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or consulting.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, process design, testing, and training.
  • Knowledge of software selection and implementation.
  • Familiarity with various Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including their features and customization.
  • Experience with PMO methodologies (waterfall and agile).
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Experience leading team training.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including internationally.
