About the role

Generate, a leading retail media platform, and a subsidiary of Mile Marker, is seeking an (Agency) Sales Manager to drive growth by leveraging their expertise in media agency outreach and ad/media channel sales. This hybrid role is ideal for a results-oriented sales person who excels at building relationships with agency contacts, managing sales enablement processes, and delivering compelling value propositions tailored to agency needs.


What you'll do

  • Lead an inside sales effort focused primarily on media agency partners, utilizing the individual’s previous experience selling ad or media platform offerings
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach sequences, including email, phone, and virtual meetings, to engage agency contacts and generate qualified opportunities
  • Partner with marketing resources to create GTM sales/marketing collateral, including media kit
  • For agreed upon agency (primary) and brand (secondary) efforts, manage the full Generate sales cycle: from prospecting and initial outreach to pitching and negotiating through to closing deals with agency stakeholders; utilize more senior Generate leadership for more complex/integrated deals
  • Craft and deliver the value-based Generate pitch that clearly communicates the unique value proposition, ownership position in the marketplace and how the turnkey solution can provide measurable business outcomes
  • Maintain and optimize sales enablement tools, sequences, and CRM workflows to ensure efficient pipeline management and accurate tracking of sales activities
  • Develop and continually define a list of agency ICP so that outbound efforts are focused and targeted
  • Build and nurture strong, consultative relationships with key agency decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact while building one on one relationships as necessary
  • Analyze sales metrics, inclusive of fill rates and performance, as well as market feedback to continuously tailor the Generate offering to agencies; improve conversion rates, and inform product positioning
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Generate media network team to align on messaging, campaign execution, and client onboarding to ensure operational efficiency
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior leadership
  • Stay current on retail media trends, competitive landscape, and agency business models to anticipate client needs and industry shifts
  • Become familiar with Generate production capabilities, including cost/pricing to bundle production and advertising services as needed
  • Book end the outreach of agency partners with brand direct communications


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a high growth environment
  • Understanding of the retail media and digital advertising ecosystem preferred
  • A proven track record of selling advertising or media solutions into agencies with a specific emphasis on platform sales
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify sales cycles and close deals with agency stakeholders in line with their current and future needs
  • Strong experience designing and executing sales enablement sequences and outreach strategies, including new and innovative ways to communicate key messaging
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate value propositions and tailor pitches to agency audiences
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales enablement tools; strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to overcome sales objections and effectively manage negotiations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred

The pay range for this role is:

$65,000 - 115,000 USD OTE per year
