The Role
Let's cut to the chase - we're looking for someone with exceptional product marketing skills. Someone that understands how to translate product features and… into powerful and compelling market-facing messaging. If this sounds like you, keep reading! This role is full time, Monday - Friday. We are a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) with optional remote days (Wednesday, Friday). You will need to be located in the Kelowna area and be able to reliably commute into the office downtown Kelowna in the Innovation Center.
Expected start date for this role is February 2025
Salary Range for this position is 80K - 95K
What You'll Do
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for new products and features, including timeline development, success metrics, and cross-functional coordination
- Create detailed launch plans that align with the academic calendar and school district buying cycles
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends.
- Define target customer segments and create buyer personas.
Product Positioning and Messaging:
- Craft clear and compelling product messaging and positioning that differentiates Minga’s offerings in the market.
- Create and maintain product collateral, including datasheets, presentations, website content, and case studies.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
Sales/CX Enablement:
- Develop sales tools and training materials to support the Sales/CX teams in effectively communicating product value.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the Sales and CX teams on product benefits, and competitive positioning.
- Create and maintain a library of sales enablement resources, including demo scripts, objection handling guides, and ROI calculators.
Competitive and Customer Insights:
- Gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales, and other stakeholders to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify key differentiators and market opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop competitive battlecards and inform competitive comparison and displacement campaigns.
Content Creation and Management:
- Craft compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks tailored to different educational stakeholders (administrators, teachers, IT directors, curriculum specialists)
- Own the product narrative and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints
- Develop detailed product positioning documents that clearly articulate unique selling propositions and competitive advantages
- Create and maintain a comprehensive content calendar for product-related communications
Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, lead generation, and customer retention.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimize future efforts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the education technology sector.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing products.
- Strong understanding of the education industry and the needs of school principals and district leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly messaging.
- Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems (Hubspot would be great!), and analytics platforms.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
