Backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, the XPRIZE foundation, Stripe, and the UK Government, we’ve moved a brand new climate technology from lab to commercial plants in under three years to rapidly empower carbon removal and sustainable utilisation.

About the role

Mission Zero Technologies is looking for a Founders Associate to work closely with our three co-founders. This role is integral to our growth and operational efficiency, offering a unique chance to gain broad exposure across our organisation and play a key part in our strategic and operational initiatives.  The role requires sensitivity to confidentiality and discretion when managing executives’ matters, comfort in a startup environment, and ability to navigate ambiguity as we continue on our growth journey.

What you'll be doing

Your overall objectives are to enable the C-suite to maximise their time spent working on critical activities that moves the company forward. This will entail but not limited to:

  • Strategic SupportWork directly with the co-founders on key strategic projects. Working across the Senior Management Team to support key initiatives and ad hoc activities as defined from time to time.

  • Operational EfficiencyAssist in optimising company operations, including process improvements, project management, and coordination between departments. 

  • CommunicationPrepare presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Administrative Support: 

    • Tracking, managing and optimising time-allocation through coordinating daily calendars of the C-suite team

    • Scheduling meetings and additionally coordinating weekly management team meetings (with minutes)

    • Managing expenses and travel arrangements

    • Managing and scheduling administrative tasks assigned to C-suite e.g. document signatures

  • Ad Hoc ProjectsTake on various projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to tackle new challenges.


What you'll need to be successful in this role 
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights.

  • Excellent Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive Attitude: A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using various software tools and platforms to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of a startup environment.


Ideally you'll also have

  • Experience in a Consultancy or Startup Environment: Familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities in fast-paced work environments 

  • Background in Climate Tech or related Sectors: Knowledge of or experience in the climate tech sector.

  • Strong Network: Connections within the tech and/or climate tech communities.

  • Recent Graduate or Master's Graduate: A recent graduate or someone with a master’s degree bringing fresh perspectives and up-to-date knowledge.
