Regional Clinical Director - ABA Program

Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 

JOB TITLE: Regional Clinical Director 

 

SUPERVISION: Work is performed under the supervision and direction of Chief Clinical Officer, of Momentum Behavior Services.  

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) is a clinic that provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities.  Momentum is looking for a Regional Clinical Director to join our team! In this position you will be working closely with a team of professionals in order to effectively manage assigned clinic(s) that provide Applied Behavior Analysis therapy services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Oversee and manage work performance of BCBAs at each assigned clinic location, while  maintaining a clinical caseload of 10-15 hours per week
  • In collaboration with the Director of Operations, oversee and manage each assigned clinics authorization utilization 
  • Oversee and manage the client and staff capacity at each assigned clinic location 
  • Maintain and report on the assigned clinics budgets 
  • Navigates all interactions between organization and community members 
  • Complete overall assigned clinical audits including but not limited to staff productivity, performance reviews, and care plan renewals   
  • Maintain accurate information of intakes and discharges and plans for each accordingly  
  • Support BCBAs in management of each assigned clinic location 
  • Review and approve purchases for assigned clinics 
  • Acting liaison between families and assigned MBS clinics  
  • Manage and audit compliance regarding legal, ethical, and safety issues including working with families and vulnerable individuals  
  • Responsible for maintaining high quality and integrity of all services provided  
  • Attend all-staff meetings quarterly  
  • Conduct group BCBA and QSP meetings on a monthly basis or as needed 
  • Conduct individual BCBA meetings on a weekly basis or as needed  
  • Collaborate with each BCBA, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Intake Coordinator, and members of Revenue Cycle Management to ensure all areas of assigned clinic(s) are communicating and functioning effectively  
  • Reports clinical and operational progress to the Executive team including but not limited to the Chief Clinical Officer and the Director of Operations 
  • Conduct interviews for BCBAs, QSPs and other positions when needed   
  • Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of BCBAs and QSPs  
  • Remain up-to-date on all staff trainings required to maintain BCBA certification, insurance site compliance, and BACB compliance  
  • Attend necessary ongoing training and education as required   
  • Maintains a general knowledge and understanding of HIPAA compliance and adherence to its guidelines   
  • Other duties as assigned   

 

HOURS OF WORK: Full-time, onsite 

 

STARTING PAY: $90,000.00 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION: Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the BACB. State licensure (if applicable) 

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field. Able to provide supervision to other BCBA candidates and RBTs. Doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field and training in Organizational Behavior Management is preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE: 5 years or more providing ABA treatment to individuals with ASD. 3 or more years of experience in a managerial role and conflict resolution. 2 years of experience overseeing and managing all functions of a clinical site and providing supervision to BCBA candidates and RBTs. 

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific):  Working knowledge of managing an ABA therapy clinic including authorization utilization, performance management, clinic capacity, and policies and procedures. Working knowledge in implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Working knowledge and experience with directing and/or leading intervention during high intensity behaviors and situations. Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgrounds and ages. Follow policies and procedures of Bluestem Center for Autism related to client care. Follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations, state and federal confidentiality laws.  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:  In an average 8-hour day the employee lifts/carries/holds up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 85 lbs. maximum.  In an average 8-hour day the employee stands/walks 5-7 hours.  

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:  Combination of Remote and Clinic setting with multiple therapy rooms. Adequate light and temperature, noisy. 

 

EQUIPMENT OR MACHINES USED ON THE JOB

Basic computer skills with Internet, E-mail, Google Suite (mail, chat, drive), cell phone, photocopiers, scanner. 

 

MENTAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:  Must be able to prioritize and maintain organization when multiple tasks are assigned/due. Must be able to make difficult decisions based on information provided by the Revenue Cycle Management and/or other individuals apart of the team. Must be able to provide and receive constructive feedback. Work with many different personalities, able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude even amid highly stressful situations.  People-sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others. Must be able to problem solve solutions and engage in creative thinking to further the clinic and organization.
