Job Summary

  • Seeking a Systems Engineer to support a Data Modeling team focused on modernizing business IT systems that currently span multiple databases, user interfaces, and data formats
  • This role is key to the successful migration of business data from legacy systems to a new platform

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into system specifications
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test systems and subsystems
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of system components
  • Oversee system configuration, documentation, and lifecycle management
  • Conduct system analysis and optimization for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure end-to-end solution integrity
  • Provide technical support for system deployment, operations, and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and procedures
  • Support risk assessments, failure analysis, and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • 7 years' experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 12 years' experience without a degree
  • Experience with database design and modeling
  • Experience utilizing SQL within relational database systems (e.g.,
  • Oracle, Postgres)
  • Experience reverse engineering systems in both front-end and back-end capacities
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization, data normalization and cleansing, and data security

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of existing BM&A systems

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 175,000 USD per year (Maryland Office )
