About the role

  • We’re currently looking for a 3D GIS & Urban Visualization Specialist to help us scale our software suite artemis.solar

What you'll do

  • Develop high-quality 3D models of houses and urban areas from satellite or aerial imagery.
  • Create and optimize real-time 3D visualizations for web-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure smooth integration of 3D assets into the frontend experience.
  • Build robust pipelines for processing raw geospatial imagery, aligning datasets, and preparing 3D inputs.
  • Document methodologies, experiments, and findings; actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Design and prepare high-quality datasets (e.g., RGB images, depth maps, 3D meshes) for training deep learning models for 3D reconstruction or object recognition.
  • Validate and refine model outputs to ensure geometric accuracy, visual realism, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Urban Planning, Geomatics, Architecture, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in 3D modeling of urban environments or city-scale visualization.
  • Proven experience working with 3D city models, digital twins, or urban simulations.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating previous work on urban-scale 3D modeling or visualization projects.
  • Experience with GIS and geospatial tools, e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, or PostGIS.
  • Familiarity with CityGML, CesiumJS, or other tools for 3D city data and web visualization.
  • Ability to work with aerial imagery, DSM, LiDAR, photogrammetry, or other 3D data sources.
  • Experience in coding or automatization  (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or C++).
