MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

About the role

The Maintenance Management Specialist is responsible for supporting II MSB's maintenance management program through equipment readiness tracking, maintenance documentation and records management, compliance monitoring, reporting, and coordination of maintenance operations across supported units. This position ensures maintenance actions, inspections, training records, certifications, and readiness data are accurately managed while serving as a liaison between maintenance personnel and higher headquarters to support mission readiness. Success is measured by maintaining maintenance records within required timelines, achieving a 95% accuracy rate in documentation and reporting, coordinating support requests within established timeframes, and supporting equipment readiness objectives.

Responsibilities

·         Track preventive maintenance schedules and verify compliance across assigned equipment platforms.

·         Maintain and update equipment readiness status and maintenance trackers in support of the overall maintenance management program for II MSB.

·         Analyze maintenance trends, equipment readiness data, and workflow efficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.

·         Monitor corrective maintenance actions, work orders, and parts status to ensure timely resolution.

·         Support the development and maintenance readiness reports and maintenance summaries.

·         Assist with inspections, audits, and readiness evaluations as required.

·         Support maintenance-related inspections, including internal compliance reviews and higher headquarters evaluations.


Qualifications

The Maintenance Management Specialist shall possess the following qualifications:

·         Knowledge of the operating procedures of the Marine Corps maintenance and maintenance management programs.

·         Familiarity and at least five years of experience with GCSS-MC and TDM Catalyst, as well as Microsoft SharePoint, and MS Office programs.

·         Must have a SECRET level security clearance.
