About the Position

The Production Management Associate will focus on pre-production and production support across the organization. This position is perfect for an individual with entry-level video production experience, an interest in producing digital videos, strong time management and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.


Core Responsibilities

  • Assist Video Producers and the Production Management team with the creation of longform videos
  • Assist the Production Coordinator with securing locations, crew, gear rentals and coordinate other relevant shoot logistics. 
  • Along with the Production Coordinator, own the operational side of production, including production calendars and schedules, budget tracking and purchase orders, vendor communication and production documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate information about shoots, including technical specifications and schedules between MPU production staff and production crew. 
  • Helping track footage and production assets after shoots, liaising with crew for any missing assets
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
  • Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Experience/Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experienced in on-set video production and pre-production;
  • Experience on digital video productions;
  • Basic camera knowledge;
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere desired;
  • Documentary, journalism, and/or political experience;
  • Producing, scripting, research or development experience a plus;
  • Familiarity with national politics and labor issues; 
  • A passion for economic justice and workers rights; 
  • Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette and exceptional interpersonal communication skills; 
  • Studied or currently studying in journalism, communications, film, marketing, public relations or related field; 
  • Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote/work from home environment;

The pay range for this role is:

65,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
