We are seeking a legal council to join our team. The Mozn brand is alive within a plethora of stakeholder touch points and therefore the most suitable candidate for the Legal Counsel position would be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and protocols, as well as managing potential risks associated with commercial activities. This role will provide legal guidance on various legal and commercial matters, effectively addressing exposure, reputational risk, and liability concerns proactively. In addition, this role will involve reviewing, creating, and negotiating contracts with both internal and external parties and managing contracts daily.
Responsibilities:
- Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of complex agreements.
- Review all documentation that has legal implications for the company prior to signing and implementing;
- Developing and overseeing that the company meets its compliance obligations under relevant laws and the requirements of regulatory authorities;
- Provide support on significant litigation matters, by assisting with the internal investigations required in relation to litigation matters, and supporting in reviewing pleadings and filings, and working with technical experts.
- Engaging with our regulators and responding to regulatory requests and internal/external audits;
- Draft and review forms, disclosures, and agreements for use by the applicable businesses with no supervision.
- Assist with any IP-related matters (including matters related to patents and/or copyright) which may arise from time to time.
- Otherwise perform legal work necessary to fulfil scope of responsibility.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in law or related field.
- 4-8 years experience as an in-house legal professional.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling a variety of commercial contracts, with a focus on Technology Agreements.
- Skilled in drafting and reviewing various types of contracts.
- Demonstrate experience in leading and overseeing a team of individuals.
- Have good experience with various technology contracts and agreements, including but not limited to: Software License Agreements, End User License Agreements (EULAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Software Development Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Cloud Services Agreements, Maintenance and Support Agreements, Technology Transfer Agreements, Reseller/Referral Agreements, Channel/Integration Partner Agreements, Subscription Agreements.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., Saudi PDPL, GDPR), AI-related regulation, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks is preferable.
- Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with advanced proficiency in writing in Arabic followed by English.
- Demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and professionalism when interacting with colleagues and external cooperating law firms.
