About the role
We are looking for an Associate Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, working knowledge of ERP systems, and a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals.
What you'll do
- Accounting for the routine JVs (GL, AP / AR), ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
- Doing the month-end closing
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Prepare and monitor cash flows, including forecasting and identifying risks and opportunities
- Facilitate during the internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Prepare audit schedules, and respond to audit inquiries
- Ensure compliance with IFRS in all transactions impacting GL
- Other tasks and ad hoc requirements as assigned by the Line Manager
Qualifications
- SOCPA registered
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Available to start immediately or with short notice
