Our internal marketing team collaborates with data and analytics, educational asset creation, product development, growth, and CSM teams. This role will be pivotal in shaping and growing a consistent brand presence across these different teams and our owned channels.



About You

Are you a seasoned copywriter with stellar writing abilities and Swiss Army knife-like marketing know-how? Join our team as a Brand Marketing Copywriter! We’re seeking a well-rounded team player and a creative thinker who is never afraid to ask, “Why?” to understand how their thinking and writing supports our company and team goals. 


You must have B2B copywriting experience embodying, evolving, and communicating brand voice across organic and paid social media, websites, email, and sales collateral. 



What You Bring To The Table

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of brand copywriting experience in the B2B space
  • Ability to multitask and thrive under tight deadlines 
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills 
  • Proven success in assisting in the development and management of marketing campaigns   
  • Familiarity with operational, project management, and content deployment programs and platforms - e.g., G-Suite, Hubspot, MailChimp, Monday, PageProof, and MarCom, is a bonus 
  • Both agency and in-house experience are preferred


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Copywriting 

Develop high-impact, data- and audience-insight informed marketing copy that showcases brand voice, client value, and tangible outcomes. Be an expert in effectively communicating complex financial outcomes in an accessible and compelling way.


Channel Adaptability 

Have a deep understanding of how each of MSA’s marketing channels and the content that populates them, differ. Proficiency in modifying tone, and format to be appropriate for different brand touch points for both prospects and existing clients. 


Innovation & Development

Stay on top of developments and best practices across:

  • Organic and paid social: LinkedIn expertise is a must
  • Website: Including creating client case studies, brand-building pieces, blog posts, etc.
  • Email: Experience on how to position brand and services for education, CSM and growth teams
  • Digital sales collateral: For both CSM and growth teams 
  • Events: Shaping brand IRL experience for growth


Analytical Thinking

Collaborates across marketing, data, and analytics teams to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of your writing to optimize messaging against team goals and maximize engagement across different channels and audience segments. Create content that consistently exceeds engagement benchmarks across channels, driving measurable increases in open rates, click-throughs, and conversions with a deep understanding of different audience segments’ needs, wants, and expectations. 


Brand Voice Cultivation 

Establish MSA as the industry leader in financial well-being. Lead the charge to evolve and maintain our brand voice guidelines and ensure consistent brand voice across all assets produced, and for our different audience segments. 


Strategic Campaign Development 

Collaborate with other marketing team members and the internal teams we support, to conceptualize and execute strategies - both holistic marketing and content-specific, to support lead generation, comprehension of MSA’s services, and retention and engagement initiatives for existing clients across multiple, primarily digital, channels. 


AI Content Enhancement 

Comfort strategically integrating AI tools to amplify content creation efficiency, i.e., optimize A/B testing capabilities, or enable data-driven personalization while maintaining authentic brand voice and human creativity.


Content Management 

Maintaining an organized library of work through asset management and storage platforms that enable efficient repurposing and ensure consistency. 


Cross-Functional Collaboration 

Build strong partnerships across teams to ensure content accurately reflects product capabilities, coaching methodologies, and member outcomes. Stay in close contact with marketing leadership to communicate workload, priorities, and ideas for optimization.

Qualifications & Experience

Academic Foundation 

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field; specialization in business or financial writing preferred.


Writing Experience 

5+ years creating marketing content, preferably in financial services, B2B environments, or wellness sectors.


Portfolio Depth 

Demonstrated success in developing diverse content types, including case studies, emails, presentations, social media, and digital marketing materials. 


Technical Knowledge 

Proficiency with content management systems, email marketing platforms, basic analytics tools, and experience with AI writing/editing tools for content enhancement.



Work Context

Full-time remote role with occasional presence at company headquarters in Roseville, CA. Some travel may be required for content gathering and team collaboration sessions (5-10%).

  • Reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications
  • Must reside in the PST or CT time zones
  • Hybrid attendance if you are within 70mi of the Sacramento metro area
