Relationship Coordinator

About the role

The Relationship Coordinator is responsible for managing academic and operational support for students and faculty throughout their journey in assigned programs. This role ensures timely resolution of student concerns, supports faculty performance and documentation, coordinates Capstone processes, and collaborates closely with the Program Coordinator/Director and academic leadership.


What you'll do

  • Provide ongoing support to students and professors, manage day-to-day activities and key academic processes such as re-entry, completion plans, SAP warning and SAP probation, LOA/PLOA requests, student complaints, course certification, and grade analysis requests.
  • Propose course assignments and faculty credentials to the Program Coordinator/Director for planning and approval.
  • Monitor faculty performance and delivery, ensuring alignment with academic standards and expectations.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of faculty, including identifying candidates, collecting credentials, conducting interviews, and submitting documentation for approval.
  • Manage the Capstone process in collaboration with the Program Coordinator/Director and conduct faculty training and student support.
  • Organize and maintain standardized documentation of program meetings (invitations, agendas, minutes, attendance, and supporting documents).
  • Participate in academic committees and institutional meetings as required.
  • Receive initial LOA/PLOA requests ensuring completeness and forward to respective approving party.
  • Assist in the development and management of academic materials including manuals, syllabi, templates, and course standards.
  • Monitor student progress using reports and ensure timely responses to requests across multiple communication platforms.
  • Organize and maintain accurate faculty documentation such as Faculty Maps and credential records.
  • Oversee and update course shell components as needed (activities, links, quizzes, forums) to ensure content accuracy.
  • Manage academic requests such as course change petitions and student requests, ensuring proper tracking and access.
  • Promote and participate in Welcome Class, and Welcome Capstone sessions, MUST Orientation and other programmatic scheduled events.
  • Support completion of institutional and course assessments by students and use feedback data to suggest program improvements.
  • Plan and assign faculty load for courses within assigned programs.
  • Maintain service-level standards and follow-up on student inquiries within established timeframes.
  • Other tasks inherent to this role and designated projects by the Program Coordinator/Director.


Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree required in assigned academic program subject or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic coordination, student services, or faculty support within higher education.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) in English. Portuguese or Spanish preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • General Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of academic policies, student support strategies, and institutional compliance.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and student information systems.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate among various stakeholders.
