About the Role
MyKaarma is seeking an experienced Associate Legal Counsel to support our fast-growing B2B SaaS business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be the primary legal advisor across commercial operations—owning contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with telecom and privacy regulations (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, Do-Not-Call, GDPR, CCPA), and building a scalable legal infrastructure.
We’re looking for a sharp, business-minded attorney with a strong grasp of SaaS contracts and customer communications law, who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Hybrid work environment, must be able to commute to Long Beach twice weekly.
How to Stand Out
We’re looking for more than just technical legal expertise—we value thoughtful, business-aware legal partners who proactively build solutions that scale. Here’s an example of the kind of approach we admire:
Scenario:
Executive: “We need to add some special terms to this contract, but I’m concerned about how we’ll ensure compliance since these fall outside our standard operating procedures.”
You: “No problem. I’ve handled compliance tracking for non-standard terms before and recommend we configure tracking directly in our CLM system, Ironclad. I’ll summarize the request in a ‘Summary / Ask / Detail’ memo with my recommendation so we can align quickly.”
This mindset—structured, proactive, and cross-functional—is exactly what helps legal empower business outcomes without slowing down momentum.
