About Mytra
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
Role Overview
Mytra’s Operations team is looking for an experienced BOM Configuration Specialist to drive the execution of engineering changes across multiple programs and products.
The BOM Configuration Specialist will develop, implement, and oversee our engineering change and documentation control processes. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and program/product teams to ensure changes to hardware, software, and processes are properly evaluated, approved, and released—balancing speed with structure. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, technical environment and can build scalable systems from the ground up.
We are a fast-moving organization, learning and iterating quickly, and we need robust change control management to minimize impact to the downstream teams.
Example Projects
- Define an end-to-end BOM revision process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications and Programs.
- Design, implement, and manage the change control process across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Develop and document internal change control policies, workflows, and training for teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the change control lifecycle within our PLM system (e.g., Duro, Arena, OpenBOM, Propel, etc.) and ensure data integrity and traceability.
- Ensure updates to bills of materials (BOMs), CAD drawings, schematics, part specifications, SOPs, and work instructions are properly reviewed and approved.
- Develop and maintain details project timelines for BOM implementations across multiple concurrent programs (including Bot development, customer deployments, and other R&D).
- Support integration of change control with inventory and supplier management systems (ERP, MRP).
- Develop tools and dashboards for operational needs and business decisions using our PLM and MRP platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams. Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and manufacturing engineering teams to coordinate changes and releases.
- Establish change control KPIs and continuously improve cycle time, backlog, and compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
- You’re very comfortable with data analysis and reporting, and have experience with Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLM), Material Planning Requirements (MRP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- You are detail oriented with strong documentation and process adherence.
- You have demonstrated experience with BOM management and new product introduction processes.
- You’re familiar with manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and component sourcing.
- You are excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in change control, configuration management, or document control, preferably in a hardware startup or robotics environment.
- Familiarity with hardware and software development lifecycles, rapid prototyping, and agile product development.
- Hands-on experience with PLM / MRP / ERP systems (e.g. Duro, ION, Arena, Propel, OpenBOM, Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle).
- Strong organizational and project management skills; detail-oriented but practical.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or R&D-heavy environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with both hardware and embedded software change control processes. (Duro, Solidworks)
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other quality/regulatory standards.
- Exposure to early-stage manufacturing scale-up and supply chain transitions.
- Familiarity with Jira, Linear, Git, or software version control concepts.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile/SAFe certification a plus
