Senior Global Supply Manager

About Mytra

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

Senior Global Supply Manager

Role Overview

Mytra’s Operations team is looking for energetic, experienced supply chain professionals to own the strategic sourcing and vendor management processes, and excited to take on a key role to help grow our business. We have a lot of bots we want to build!

As a global supply chain manager you’ll be a critical member of the team helping to develop our supply chain strategy, and execute against that strategy to ensure we have the parts we need for both robot production at our factory, as well as the material flow automation systems we deploy at our customer sites.

Example Projects

  • Execute material procurement, not only for high-volume production, but also for NPI and Engineering development builds.
  • Develop and grow our supply chain network — Identifying great suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and ramping up their production.
  • Ordering parts inside standard supplier lead times — Working with suppliers and engineers to shorten delivery timelines while meeting all component requirements.
  • Make vs Buy strategy - Provide analysis and develop the strategy for manufacturing to inform internal production capacity. For example, evaluating the pros and cons of building wiring harnesses in-house or the process being wholly owned by a contract manufacturer.
  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to model our BOM should-cost, and contributing to our robot and system cost goals.
  • Develop long term contracts with our strategic suppliers to mitigate global supply risks while at the same time reducing costs and lead times.
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams on establishing and then meeting Material Ready Dates MRDs for multiple robot development programs and customer deployments simultaneously.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’re very comfortable with sourcing new suppliers, developing a business relationship under commercial terms, and growing a supply chain.
  • 7+ years of experience building intricate and large scale hardware supply chains.
  • Having practical knowledge sourcing in the robotics and warehouse automation industry, with a wide range of electronics such as — PCBAs, wiring harnesses, high and low voltage electrical panels, vision sensors, power supplies, charging systems, is a plus, though not a requirement.
  • You can effectively communicate to and manage our supply chain partners, and hold them accountable to meet our company’s needs (without burning any bridges).
  • You are excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.
  • You worked in an early stage company or new product launch - and you’re able to navigate the concerns of large suppliers working with a relatively young startup, and sell the vision of our company to them.
  • You are passionate about building a company UP as much as you are about doing the ‘day’ job. You can develop and iterate upon business processes to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Uncertainty isn’t scary, and you’re willing to realize mistakes and pivot.
  • Openness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values.
