Compliance Lead, Quality Assurance (QA) Testing
Location: Hybrid in Cheyenne, Wyoming or Remote in Denver, Colorado

About the Role
N3XT is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, security, and innovation. As a Compliance Lead, Quality Assurance (QA) Testing, you will work in a fast paced environment and play an essential role in identifying and evaluating compliance risks and controls . We are looking for a product-minded tester who is not only passionate about improving the effectiveness of a compliance program, but is also excited by automation and the expanding capabilities of AI to build our program from the ground up. You should enjoy learning the ins and outs of a company’s products and services, and have the ability to translate regulatory requirements in an evolving fintech landscape. You will be responsible for helping build and execute all areas of our BSA/AML/OFAC QA Testing Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in scoping discussions and building the QA Testing framework.
- Conduct walkthroughs to gain an understanding of each testing area and use AI to document processes and controls, including potential gaps.
- Assist in developing and automating testing scripts, sampling methodology, and review steps for each testing area.
- Leveraging AI and machine learning when executing control testing to assess the design and effectiveness of compliance controls, including BSA/AML/OFAC and KYC/KYB/CDD/EDD.
- Document testing in workpaper documents to evidence reviews.
- Draft reports to document findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Participate in discussions with control and testing area owners regarding potential gaps and recommendations.
- Collaborate with control and testing area owners to write management action plans for all identified findings.
- Support issue management tracking related to findings and management action plans created as a result of QA testing.
- Stay updated on banking regulations, especially related to testing areas.
- Ensure deliverables from the yearly QA testing calendar are submitted in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience (4-6+ years) in compliance testing, quality assurance, audit or risk management within the payments industry.
- Advanced understanding of control design, effectiveness testing, sampling methodologies, and evidence collection related to financial crimes compliance.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI Agents and strong analytical skills to uncover inconsistencies and trends.
- Excellent organizational and written skills to manage the testing schedule and draft summary reports of findings.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multiple key employees at the company, including data and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- AML-related certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE, ACAMS).
- Understanding of the FFIEC and/or Wyoming SPDI examination manual.
- Experience in crypto / blockchain and/or startups.
- Product management or product development experience.
