Position Summary 

 

NanoVation Therapeutics (NTx) is looking for collaborative and detail-orientated Logistics & Operations Coordinator. 

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operationsour Logistics & Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating our shipping activities with both internal R&D teams as well as external collaborators and partners. This role also provides operational and facilities project support. 

 

Our ideal candidate is a strong and flexible multitasker who enjoys taking on a variety of work.  This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a life sciences operational role.   

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

Outbound Logistics 

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for internal R&D teams to coordinate outbound shipments to collaborators and partners ensuring timely delivery and receipt 

  • Assesses shipment requirements and plans shipments appropriately 

  • Accurately completes shipping and customs documentation 

  • Packages and arranges pickup for shipments 

  • Monitors shipments, communicates changes in status and resolves issues that arise in transit 

  • Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of shipping materials  

 

Inbound Logistics 

  • Monitors inbound shipments and orders and resolves any issues ahead of delivery 

  • Receives inbound shipments, confirms the correct receipt of goods and reconciles packaging slips against purchase orders 

  • Communicates any shipment discrepancies with the team and accounting 

  • Updates chemical inventory and SDS management software as required 

  • Communicates the status of inbound shipments to relevant teams  

  • Arranges customs clearance as needed 

 

Inventory Control 

  • Monitors consumables inventory levels and reorders inventory when needed 

  • Stows, restocks, and organizes inventory  

  • Monitors R&D materials inventory and updates team  

 

Operational Support & Projects 

  • Assists in the execution of a variety of operational projects  

  • Proactively monitors office supplies and reorders as needed 

  • Coordinates office services and office equipment maintenance 

  • Supports the organization of office events 

  • Coordinates the IT requirements for new and departing team members 

  • Additional responsibilities, as required/requested. 

 

Continuous Improvement Implementation 

  • Works with the operations team to implement continuous improvement projects 

  • Identifies opportunities for efficiencies  

 

Facilities Coordination 

  • Coordinates building maintenance services as requested 

 

Education & Experience Required: 

 

  • 3+ years of experience with a focus on logistics and/or operations 

  • Experience with shipping software, customs documentation, and specialized shipments including temperature control and TDG  

  • WHMIS certification and experience with BSL-1 is an asset 

  • Experience working with LIMS and chemical inventory management software an asset 

  • Experience working in Smartsheets is an asset

What we offer
