About the Role
At NCheng, the Supervisor- Client Accounting Services leads a team of Staff and Senior Accountants across multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables. This role demands advanced accounting expertise, strong leadership, and mentoring skills to drive workflow efficiency, maintain quality, and enhance client satisfaction.
Job Description
- Team Leadership: Assign tasks, review work, and manage day-to-day priorities for Staff and Senior Accountants on projects.
- Client Relations: Serve as a principal contact for routine client issues, monthly check-ins, or escalations; build trust by ensuring open communication and timely feedback.
- Quality Control: Oversee complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; confirm compliance with accounting standards and firm policies.
- Engagement Management: Coordinate multiple smaller engagements or significant components of large ones, monitoring scope, schedule, and potential risk areas.
- Technical Guidance: Resolve escalated accounting questions (e.g., new or complex transactions, multi-grant funding streams, etc.).
- Staff Development: Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development guidance for junior staff and seniors.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, optimize software usage, and enhance efficiency without compromising quality
Required Skills:
- Leadership & Management: Confident in delegating, setting clear expectations, and handling conflict resolution.
- Technical Proficiency: Thorough understanding of advanced accounting tasks (complex reconciliations, multi-entity consolidations, etc.).
- Client Service: Skilled in client communication, from providing regular status updates to advising on the best financial practices.
- Organization & Prioritization: Efficient in coordinating multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Strategic Oversight: Begins thinking beyond day-to-day tasks, anticipating potential client or team challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, or related field) required; CPA or related credential strongly preferred.
- 4–7 years of accounting experience, including prior supervisory or senior-level responsibility.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and lead small teams.
The pay range for this role is:
100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (HQ)
