Analytics Lead, Marketing

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

The Role

We’re looking for a builder—a collaborative and proactive leader to join our Data team as the Analytics Lead, Marketing. Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, this person will play a key role in transforming how analytics supports Marketing at Neo. This is not a request-fulfillment role—we need someone who will embed deeply in Marketing, guide a team of embedded analysts, and help the organization shift from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-driven decision making.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategy & Insight
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to define and track the metrics that matter
  • Lead forward-looking business reviews that drive decision-making and action
  • Surface trends, signals, and anomalies before they turn into business problems

Analyst Leadership

  • Coach embedded analysts across Acquisition, Lifecycle, and Product Marketing
  • Ensure high standards in analytical thinking, consistency in metric definitions, and strong business alignment
  • Champion a proactive analytics culture across Marketing

Tools & Experimentation

  • Build and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools using platforms like Looker and Hex
  • Guide experimentation strategies and campaign measurement
  • Apply process control techniques (e.g., run/XmR charts, SPC) to help marketing stay ahead of variation

Who we are looking for:

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years in an analytics role with increasing leadership responsibility, ideally in Marketing or Growth-focused domains
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Hex, Looker, and Tableau
  • Comfortable with experimentation design, funnel analysis, and campaign reporting
  • Python and dbt experience is a plus

Attributes

  • Strategic communicator who can translate data into business action
  • Highly collaborative and hands-on—able to guide by example and lead from the front
  • Curious, self-directed, and deeply invested in quality work
