About Nerdio
At Nerdio, our mission is to simplify the lives of IT professionals and maximize their Microsoft cloud and end user computing investments.
We support organizations of all sizes looking to deploy, manage, and cost-optimize native Microsoft technologies. We partner with Enterprises and Managed Service Providers all over the world to add value on top of their existing native Microsoft investments like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune.
Created in 2016, Nerdio has always taken a market-leading and collaborative approach to cloud deployment and management. In fact, our product roadmap is greatly influenced by the regular feedback we receive from having seen companies deploy AVD into production environments several thousand times using Nerdio technology.
Today, Nerdio is used in over 50 countries by more than 15,000 organizations of every size and vertical. We’re committed to delivering exceptional service and support, which starts with identifying and supporting the best staff possible.
We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.
About the role
The Corporate Development team is Nerdio's internal R&D and AI engineering hub. The team builds the automations, AI agents, AI-powered tools, and full-stack internal applications that make every other team at Nerdio faster and smarter. It also owns the data warehouse that powers reporting and analytics across the business.
This role is the technical lead of that team. You are equally hands-on builder and team multiplier: shipping prototypes and production-grade internal applications yourself, while also setting the technical direction for the team, stewarding the data warehouse alongside the data engineers, and coaching colleagues on how to work effectively with modern AI development tooling.
It is an exceptionally broad role: one day you are designing an agentic workflow, the next you are reviewing a pull request, the next you are running a team-wide session on how to use Claude Code or Cursor productively, and the one after that you are pitching a new internal product to leadership. It suits someone who is senior enough to own architecture, hands-on enough to still guide the build, generous enough to make the people around them better, and outgoing enough to actively sell the team's work across the company.

Key Competencies
Hands-on leader | Sets direction and ships code; does not retreat into slideware. |
Builder's mindset | Prefers a working prototype to a perfect document. |
Taste in tooling | Can quickly tell which new AI tools are real leverage and which are hype. |
Force multiplier | Measurably makes the people around them faster and more capable. |
Pragmatism | Chooses battle-tested primitives over trendy abstractions when stakes are real. |
Ownership | Takes end-to-end responsibility for team output, not just their own work. |
Internal salesmanship | Comfortable pitching ideas, demoing work, and building buy-in across the company; actively creates demand for what the team builds. |
What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months
3 months | Fully ramped on the Corporate Development stack, internal applications, and data warehouse; able to lead architectural decisions independently. |
6 months | Shipped at least two internal AI-powered tools or automations that are measurably adopted across Nerdio and deliver tangible productivity or revenue impact. |
9 months | Established a clear, documented way of working for the team — including prototyping cadence, review rituals, deployment standards, and a shared view on AI tooling. |
12 months | Stabilized and improved the data warehouse; raised the AI and automation capability of the wider company; recognized internally as the go-to technical authority on how Nerdio builds with AI. |
