We’re now ready to expand our reach with a dedicated full-time Sales Lead who will help nurture a robust pipeline of incoming property owners.


Position Overview


The Sales Lead will grow and sustain Nest DC’s client base by cultivating strong relationships with property owners looking for Nest DC’s property management services. You’ll guide owners during a tender and often stressful moment—deciding how to rent or reposition a property—and help them understand Nest DC’s value, process, and model of care.


You’ll nurture an already active inbound pipeline supported by a sophisticated CRM, smart drip campaigns, and a strong internal team.


This is an in-person, people-centric role meant for someone who loves DC, loves meeting new people, and loves opening doors. This position offers a base salary plus significant commissions.


What You'll Do

  • Serve as the empathetic first point of contact for prospective owners
  • Conduct owner consultations and property walk-throughs, ensuring owners feel informed and supported
  • Grow Nest DC’s presence in the DC real estate ecosystem (community events, broker relationships, partner organizations, professional groups)
  • Maintain a disciplined sales process through CRM documentation, follow-up cadences, and lead nurturing
  • Collaborate with the Leasing, Home Management, Maintenance, and Onboarding teams to deliver a seamless client hand-off
  • Track trends in DC’s rental and regulatory environment to advise clients responsibly
  • Represent Nest DC with professionalism, humor, warmth, and a deep sense of community stewardship
  • Provide honest forecasting, reporting, and pipeline analysis to the Owner & Founder

Work Environment

This is an in-person position based in Washington, DC, with regular time in the field meeting owners, partners, and stakeholders. Occasional evening or weekend events may be needed. You’ll work closely with the Owner & Founder and collaborate with the Home Management, Leasing, Operations, and Starling Maintenance teams.

What You Bring


Required

  • 3+ years in sales, business development, client relations, or real estate–adjacent roles
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with a CRM and structured sales processes
  • Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with warmth and clarity
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer care and relationship stewardship
  • Deep familiarity with Washington, DC and its neighborhoods
  • A proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communications skills

Preferred

  • Experience in real estate, property management, leasing, hospitality, or a service-based industry
  • Understanding of DC housing dynamics, regulatory considerations, and rental market trends
  • Comfort with public speaking, networking, and community events
  • Comfort with property management platforms (AppFolio, LeadSimple, ShowMojo, or similar).

The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 USD per year PLUS COMMISSION.
