About Us

Nesto is a leading Canadian fintech company founded in Montreal in 2018. Our core mission is to offer a positive, empowering, and transparent property financing experience, simplified from start to finish. We initially started as a digital broker, aiming to use technology to bring transparency to the complex mortgage process. We quickly evolved to build Canada’s leading direct-to-consumer online mortgage lending platform, where our qualified mortgage experts are supported by advanced technology.

Since then, we have expanded our offering into a robust "mortgage ecosystem," extending our reach as a B2B partner for large financial institutions across Canada. Our first B2B product debuted in 2022 with IG Wealth Management, coinciding with our Series C funding round. A critical milestone occurred in 2024 when nesto acquired CMLS Group. This acquisition formed the Nesto Group (which houses nesto, CMLS, and its subsidiary brand, Intellifi), resulting in a significant increase in scale. We now have 1,250 employees across 12 offices nationwide and $73 billion CAD in residential and commercial mortgage assets under administration.

Why We Are Hiring

Our mission is to modernize the financial landscape by migrating banks and large financial institutions from legacy software to Nesto Cloud, Canada’s most advanced cloud-based mortgage technology. As a best-in-class SaaS solution, Nesto Cloud offers an omnichannel experience that consistently drives volume, boosts productivity, and lowers technology costs for our partners.

As our B2B partner ecosystem expands, we are rapidly scaling our Client Delivery teams to build a sound foundation for this growth. In this role, you will work directly on initiatives related to Nesto Cloud.

Work Location, Time Zone, and Availability

This is a remote-first role open to candidates across Canada, with a strong preference for candidates located in Ontario or Quebec. While you have the flexibility to work from home or from any of our offices (including Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver), we primarily operate on Eastern Time (EST).

To effectively collaborate with our Toronto and Montreal hubs and our national enterprise clients, you should be available during core business hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST). Additionally, this role requires occasional travel to our Montreal and Toronto offices for key meetings and team collaboration.

What Success in This Role Looks Like

In this high-impact role, success is defined by your ability to lead a strategic Project Management Office that drives execution certainty across the Customer Delivery organization. You will successfully build the frameworks for planning and delivering critical initiatives, manage resource and capacity planning, and provide robust Executive Reporting through close partnerships with leaders across multiple teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide comprehensive oversight for the entire portfolio of product, engineering, and customer-facing programs.
  • Design, implement, and run the operational cadences (e.g., quarterly planning, weekly reviews) that drive our cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and track key deliverables, milestones, risks, and dependencies across all major programs to ensure alignment and proactive issue resolution.
  • Champion and implement standards for ways of working (e.g., project methodologies, reporting standards) that foster visibility, predictability, and collaboration.
  • Lead the resource management and capacity planning function to ensure we have the right people on the right projects at the right time.
  • Develop and manage a robust executive reporting system to provide a clear, consolidated view of program status and portfolio health.
  • Oversee the development of demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept as required to support program goals.

Who We Are Looking For

  • 8–10+ years of experience in program management, project management, or in a PMO leadership role.
  • A proven track record of establishing and running a PMO in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or SaaS company.
  • Expert-level knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies and the ability to apply them appropriately.
  • Strong experience with resource management, capacity planning, and financial forecasting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and align teams from the individual contributor to the executive level.
  • Expert proficiency in PMO tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com).
  • A strategic and data-driven mindset, with a passion for creating processes that are both effective and efficient.

Preferred But Not a Must

  • Experience in the financial services or mortgage industry.
  • Bilingualism in French and English.

You Shouldn’t Apply If

  • You are not motivated by the challenge of building teams, defining processes, or working in a scale-up environment, preferring highly stable, low-pressure roles.
  • You are not interested in a role that involves frequent client-facing work or high-level stakeholder negotiation.
  • You have no passion for the fintech or mortgage technology space and are unwilling to develop domain expertise.

Interview Process

  • Recruiter Screen – 30 minutes.
  • Discovery Call with our VP, Delivery – 30 minutes.
  • Panel & Case Study – 45 minutes: Take-home assignment presentation and team Q&A.
  • Final Interview – 60 minutes: Non-technical interview with an additional stakeholder.
  • Offer Stage – Completion of background, criminal record, and reference checks, followed by a formal offer.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Top-tier extended health, dental, and vision coverage, featuring 100% drug coverage.
  • Health & Wellness Spending Account: A $1,500 combined annual flex fund for things like gym memberships or extra medical needs.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 4 weeks of vacation plus 8 personal floater days.
  • Retirement Savings: Access to a group RRSP/DPSP plan featuring competitive company-matching contributions.
  • Telemedicine Services: Access via Dialogue and coverage for licensed practitioner services.
  • Family Support: Parental leave top-up programs for maternity and parental leave.
  • Flexible Work: The possibility to work fully remote or work from one of our offices in Montreal, Quebec, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, and more!

We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strongly encourage women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to all.
